Music Teacher needed for Gateshead!

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching & Delivery: Deliver high‑quality, engaging Music lessons to students of varying abilities, covering performance, composition, and listening skills.
• Curriculum: Follow the school\’s scheme of work and curriculum, ensuring continuity of learning.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment in line with school policies.
• Assessment: Assess students\’ work and provide constructive feedback (for longer‑term assignments).
• Flexibility: Be available for bookings on short notice (daily supply) or commit to longer planned absences (long‑term supply).

What We\’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for teaching in UK state schools.
• Experience: Proven experience teaching Music at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4). Experience with different instruments and music technology is highly desirable.
• Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for Music and the ability to inspire young people.
• Adaptability: The ability to quickly adapt to new school environments and schemes of work.
• Safeguarding: A valid Enhanced DBS check registered with the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
