Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive Secondary School in Westhoughton, Bolton, for an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant who is looking to make a positive impact on the educational journey of young people.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to create an engaging and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive.

The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Provide targeted intervention and small group support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
  • Support students with varying learning needs, helping them to remain engaged and make progress.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe and inclusive school environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams and external agencies where required.
Candidate Requirements

Please note: Only applicants with previous school-based experience within the education sector will be considered for this role. The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Teaching Assistant qualification, or a higher-level education qualification.
  • Have previous experience working in a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or HLTA capacity within a UK Secondary School.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Secondary School curriculum and classroom practices.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be confident supporting students with a range of abilities and educational needs.
  • Be proactive, adaptable and committed to supporting student achievement.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment.
What We Offer

Competitive daily pay of £110 - £120 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. A full-time opportunity within a supportive Secondary School environment.
