We are seeking an experienced education professional with a strong commitment to supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities. The role involves leading and coordinating SEND provision across the school to ensure every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the provision for students with SEND across the school
- Identifying pupils with additional needs and coordinating appropriate interventions and support strategies
- Overseeing and reviewing EHCPs, support plans, and student progress records
- Working closely with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Supporting staff with inclusive teaching strategies and SEND best practice
- Monitoring the impact of interventions and ensuring compliance with SEND legislation and school policies
- Contributing to whole-school inclusion, wellbeing, and safeguarding initiatives
- Supporting students with transitions, assessments, and access arrangements where required
Qualifications:
- Hold UK QTS and have experience working within SEND provision or inclusion roles
- Hold the NASENCO qualification or be willing to work towards it
- Have a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes
- Are highly organised with excellent communication and leadership skills
- Can build positive relationships with students, families, staff, and outside professionals
- Are passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where every student can succeed
- Remain calm, empathetic, and solution-focused in a busy school environment
