We are working with a secondary school in Wellingborough that is looking to appoint a dedicated Music Teacher to join their team immediately.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who wants to deliver engaging lessons while contributing to the wider musical life of the school.
The Role
- Deliver well-structured and engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teach a variety of areas including performance, composition, theory, and listening
- Make effective use of instruments, music technology, and practical activities
- Support students working towards GCSE Music and other assessments
- Encourage students to develop their musical skills, confidence, and creativity
- Contribute to clubs, ensembles, choirs, bands, concerts, and school productions
- Help organise performances and enrichment opportunities
- Establish a positive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate
- Work alongside colleagues to support student progress and develop the Music curriculum
- The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Has a strong knowledge of Music and enthusiasm for the subject
- Has experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting
- Can engage and motivate students across different abilities
- Has confident classroom management and communication skills
- Is comfortable using music technology and practical resources
- Is organised, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Is committed to supporting students' wider development
- ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply
