Inclusion Room Assistant
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient Inclusion Room Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Wellingborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve success both academically and personally.
The successful candidate will work within the school's inclusion provision, supporting students who require additional behavioural, emotional, or pastoral support throughout the school day.
You will help maintain a calm and productive learning environment while encouraging students to make positive choices and remain engaged with their education.
The Role
- Supervising students within the inclusion room and ensuring they remain focused on their work.
- Supporting students to complete classwork provided by teaching staff.
- Promoting positive behaviour and reinforcing school expectations.
- Building strong, professional relationships with students.
- Working closely with pastoral leaders, behaviour teams, and teaching staff.
- Monitoring and recording student engagement, behaviour, and progress.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with young people in a school, youth work, mentoring, care, or support setting.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
- The ability to build rapport with students who may face additional challenges.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them reach their potential.
