Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking to connect with talented and enthusiastic Computing and ICT Teachers across Cheshire, Merseyside and the surrounding areas, with a range of current and upcoming opportunities available within our partner secondary schools. We're interested in hearing from teachers with experience across Computing, Computer Science and ICT, whether you're an experienced specialist, an ECT or a teacher looking for your next long-term, permanent or flexible supply opportunity.
Our partner schools require teachers who can deliver engaging and challenging lessons that develop students' understanding of Computing, Computer Science and digital technologies. Depending on the individual role, responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Computing, ICT or Computer Science lessons.
- Teaching students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Preparing students for GCSE Computer Science or related qualifications where appropriate.
- Developing students' understanding of programming, computational thinking and digital technology.
- Supporting students to develop practical and theoretical computing skills.
- Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Computing or ICT department.
- Contributing to the wider curriculum and school community.
The Ideal Computing or ICT Teacher:
- QTS or recognised equivalent teaching status.
- Strong subject knowledge in Computing, Computer Science and/or ICT.
- Experience teaching within a secondary school environment.
- The ability to deliver engaging, well-structured and differentiated lessons.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for technology and developing students' digital skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
