Catering Assistant - Warrington WA5 Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming school in Warrington (WA5) for a Catering Assistant to join their team on an immediate start basis. 📍 Location: Warrington, WA5 ⏰ Hours: 11:15am - 2:15pm 📅 Start: Immediate 💼 Role: Catering Assistant This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in catering, hospitality, or a school kitchen who is looking for a rewarding role working within an education setting. The Role As a Catering Assistant, you will support the school kitchen team with the day-to-day preparation and service of meals, helping to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff. Key responsibilities will include: Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments Supporting the kitchen team with general food preparation Setting up and clearing dining areas Washing up and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures Supporting with stock rotation and kitchen organisation Providing a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff Working effectively as part of a busy catering team The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will ideally have: Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, kitchen or similar role A good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety -Level 2 preferred A positive and reliable attitude Good communication and teamwork skills The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment A friendly and approachable manner when working with pupils and staff A valid DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Tradewind RecruitmentSchool or education-based catering experience is desirable but not essential.
