Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking confident and adaptable SEN Cover Supervisors to work on a supply basis across a well-established trust of schools in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced education professionals looking for flexible work while making a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work across a variety of school settings, supervising classes and supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, and other SEND requirements.
The Role
- Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring pupils remain engaged with their learning.
- Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs to access learning activities.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Providing individual and small group support where required.
- Working closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
