A large secondary school based in Hillingdon are looking for a Maths Teacher. The school is looking for someone to start in September on either a long-term contract or permanent basis. This position is full time, although part time applicants will also be considered. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Salary will match Outer London MPS/UPS. The school has available parking spaces.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and challenging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.
- Inspire students to develop strong numerical, problem-solving and analytical skills through creative and well-structured lessons.
- Support students of all abilities, helping them achieve excellent academic outcomes and build confidence in their mathematical understanding.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted intervention to maximise achievement.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to think logically, work independently and achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Mathematics department to develop curriculum resources and share best practice.
- Uphold the values and ethos of the school, promoting high expectations, respect and a commitment to excellence.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A relevant Mathematics degree or related qualification
- Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents
- Approachable, enthusiastic and committed to raising attainment
