Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a primary school in Langwith? Or do you have relevant experience working with children and want to develop a rewarding career supporting pupils with their learning, confidence and wellbeing?
Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Langwith and the surrounding areas. Roles may include general classroom support, individual work, small-group interventions or supporting pupils with additional needs. We are looking for full-time and part-time Teaching Assistants, with daily supply, short-term and long-term opportunities available.
Responsibilities- Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce classroom learning
- Delivering targeted interventions in phonics, reading, writing and mathematics
- Preparing resources and supporting teachers with classroom activities
- Adapting learning activities to meet the needs of individual pupils
- Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, independence and engagement
- Providing pastoral support and helping pupils manage their emotions appropriately
- Following school safeguarding, behaviour and inclusion policies
- Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, although relevant experience will also be considered
- A patient, positive and proactive approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Confidence supporting pupils with different abilities and additional needs
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances where applicable and suitable professional references
- Comprehensive employment history covering the previous 10 years where possible
- Right to work in the UK
