Responsibilities

  • Supporting and assisting with Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Managing classroom behaviour with guidance from qualified teachers
  • Assisting with marking, assessments, and lesson preparation
  • Participating in professional development and school-wide initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Holds a degree in a Science-related subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biomedical Science)
  • Has a genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of young people
  • Demonstrates confidence, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills
  • Is adaptable, proactive, and open to feedback
  • May be considering a future route into teacher training (PGCE, SCITT, or QTS Apprenticeship)
  • Has (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
