Unqualified Maths Teacher – Secondary School
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Start Date: February Half Term
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: Β£100-Β£160 per day (depending on experience and level of school support)

This is an excellent opportunity for Maths graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with strong subject knowledge who are looking to gain hands-on classroom experience.

Your Role:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Support pupils in developing confidence, understanding, and enjoyment of Maths

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs and abilities

  • Work collaboratively with qualified teachers and mentors to plan lessons and reflect on practice

  • Take part in ongoing professional development and contribute to wider school life

  • What We\’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject, or strong subject knowledge

  • Experience working with young people (tutoring, mentoring, classroom support, or coaching is desirable but not essential)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Confidence, organisation, and a proactive approach

  • A genuine passion for education and a willingness to learn

  • Ideal for those considering future teacher training (PGCE, SCITT, or apprenticeship routes)

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
