We are working with a number of welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Northampton who are looking for Unqualified Maths Teachers to join their teams from October 2025. This is an ideal opportunity for Maths graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience in education looking to take the next step - without needing QTS just yet.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Delivering engaging and structured Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Supporting student progress in line with the national curriculum
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Adapting your teaching style to support a range of learning needs
- Working closely with qualified staff and mentors to plan and assess lessons
- Participating in training, CPD, and school life to grow professionally
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in Maths or a related subject (or equivalent strong subject knowledge)
- Some experience working with young people or within education (preferred but not essential)
- Confident communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching
- Organised, proactive, and committed to student success
- Eagerness to learn and grow - ideal if considering a future PGCE, SCITT, or teacher apprenticeship
- Must have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check
