Traewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and qualified Music Teacher for an excellent maternity cover opportunity in Trafford.
The Role
- Teach Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that develop students' performance, composition and listening skills.
- Assess, monitor and support student progress in line with curriculum expectations.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes participation and achievement.
- Contribute to the delivery of a broad and ambitious Music curriculum.
- Support extracurricular music activities, performances and enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
- Undertake wider responsibilities of a classroom teacher, including pastoral duties and form tutor responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an equivalent recognised secondary teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Music within a UK secondary school setting.
- Ability to teach Music confidently across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including GCSE Music.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners of all abilities.
- A commitment to high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Please note: This position is suitable for qualified Music Teachers and is not suitable for applicants who have music industry, performance or professional musician experience without a recognised teaching qualification.
