Traewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and qualified Music Teacher for an excellent maternity cover opportunity in Trafford.

The Role

  • Teach Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that develop students' performance, composition and listening skills.
  • Assess, monitor and support student progress in line with curriculum expectations.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes participation and achievement.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a broad and ambitious Music curriculum.
  • Support extracurricular music activities, performances and enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
  • Undertake wider responsibilities of a classroom teacher, including pastoral duties and form tutor responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an equivalent recognised secondary teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Music within a UK secondary school setting.
  • Ability to teach Music confidently across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including GCSE Music.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners of all abilities.
  • A commitment to high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Please note: This position is suitable for qualified Music Teachers and is not suitable for applicants who have music industry, performance or professional musician experience without a recognised teaching qualification.
