Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with exceptional skills in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques? If so, Tradewind is looking for someone like you to join their team in a behavioural support role.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in Team Teach, Pru, alternative provision, or as a support worker in a residential children's home.
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in teaching support or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Work with selected pupils outside of the classroom situation, including those excluded from or not working to a normal timetable.
- Develop 1:1 mentoring arrangements with pupils to help them agree on plans and targets to move forward.
- Provide information and advice to enable pupils to make choices about their own learning, behaviour, and attendance.
- Provide support to pupils to enhance their emotional health and well-being (EHWB).
- Help pupils to follow individual Education Plans where appropriate, as well as assist in organising and running small group interventions such as circle time.
- Liaise with parents and carers as appropriate.
Requirements
- Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional references checks.
- Have a CV with a full employment and education history included, with any employment breaks explained.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
Compensation and Hours
This is a full-time role starting ASAP and the competitive pay rate will be between £95 to £100 per day, depending on experience.
