The Role:
- Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning
- Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress
- Assist pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
- Adapt support to meet different learning needs, including SEND
- Help prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and resilience
- Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback to the class teacher
- Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
- Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom
About You:
- Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience working within a primary school or similar educational setting
- A caring, patient, and encouraging approach to supporting children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively as part of a wider school team
- Confident supporting pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs
- Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
