Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic, resilient and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a thriving Alternative Provision from September 2026. This specialist provision supports students aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school offers a nurturing, trauma‑informed environment where relationships come first, allowing pupils to rebuild confidence, develop resilience and achieve academic success.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that inspire students who may have previously struggled in mainstream education.
- Understand that progress is measured in many ways and celebrate every achievement, both academically and personally.
Qualifications
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Have experience of, or a strong interest in, working with students with SEMH and/or ASC.
- Be patient, empathetic and able to build positive, trusting relationships.
- Be skilled at adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
- Have excellent behaviour management based on consistency, respect and restorative practice.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
