Tradewind are working with an all-through special school in Solihull who are currently recruiting for a male Team Teach Trained TA. The school supports pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
As a Team-Teach Trained TA you will play a vital role in supporting the diverse needs of students. Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals, you will provide tailored support and interventions to help our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with diverse needs, including those with challenging behaviour.
Implementing Team-Teach techniques and strategies to manage behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment.
Assisting with academic tasks and supporting students in accessing the curriculum.
Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement individualised learning plans for students.
Building positive relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support.
Requirements:
Team-Teach trained with a valid certification is essential.
Previous experience working in special needs settings.
Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and the ability to adapt support strategies accordingly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A compassionate and patient approach to working with children.
