Tradewind Recruitment is pleased to offer both full-time and part-time opportunities for compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of Primary Schools in Tameside. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional learning needs in inclusive and nurturing school environments.

About the Role:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs
  • Supporting the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning activities
  • Assisting class teachers in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom
  • Supporting pupils with personal care where required, in line with individual needs
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
  • Building positive, trusting relationships to support pupils' confidence and engagement

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND settings
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with diverse needs and backgrounds
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
  • A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
