Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools in South West London

Location: Primary Schools in the London Boroughs of Kingston and Richmond
Start Date: ASAP

Are you a proactive and enthusiastic individual eager to support children\’s learning in a flexible and rewarding role? We are currently seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team and work in primary schools across Kingston and Richmond. If you\’re passionate about education and can ideally commit to five days a week, we\’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons across various primary year groups
  • Assist with classroom management and provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils
  • Help prepare and organise learning materials and resources
  • Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
  • Provide additional assistance to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) as required
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and staff to support a smooth learning experience

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children in a school setting (preferred but not essential)
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A good understanding of the primary curriculum is beneficial
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Availability ideally five days per week
