Your Role

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Support personalised learning both within our provision and through outreach in community settings.
  • Help learners develop confidence, independence, emotional regulation, communication, and resilience.
  • Deliver engaging practical activities that promote teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, and wellbeing.
  • Support learners to access work experience, volunteering opportunities, enterprise projects, and employability programmes.
  • Encourage the development of life skills, including travel training, budgeting, communication, teamwork, and preparing for adulthood.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, families, therapists, employers, and community partners to achieve the best outcomes for every learner.
  • Celebrate progress, recognising that success looks different for every young person.

  • We’re seeking people who are compassionate, resilient, and committed to helping young people succeed.
  • You will ideally have experience working with children or young people with:
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Trauma and attachment difficulties
  • Autism and ADHD
  • Emotional regulation and challenging behaviour
  • Additional learning needs
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with plenty of initiative.
  • Creativity and confidence in delivering engaging learning experiences.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people prepare for adulthood, employment, and independent living.
  • Flexibility to work in classrooms, community settings, outdoor environments, and through outreach.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable due to the nature of our community-based work.
