Full-Time KS2 Teaching Assistant with SEN Experience

Location: North Watford, Hertfordshire

Start Date: 13 April 2026

Contract: Full-time Until the end of the academic year

Salary: 90-100 per day (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in North Watford, Hertfordshire, to recruit a committed and experienced Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant with SEN experience. This full-time position is due to start on 13 April 2026 and will run until the end of the academic year.

The school is a friendly, inclusive setting that supports pupils from Nursery through to Year 6. It is recognised for its strong team ethos, inclusive values, and focus on both pupil wellbeing and academic achievement.

In this role, you will be based in Key Stage 2, working Monday to Friday to provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs. You will play an important role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence, and make meaningful progress within the classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have recent experience working within Key Stage 2
  • Have proven experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
  • Be reliable, adaptable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential with relevant experience)
