SEN Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary (KS2 / Year 6)
90 – 110 per day Full-time (5 days per week)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis in a 2-form entry mainstream primary school based in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
This role is within a Year 6 (KS2) class and involves providing targeted support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including:
- One pupil with Global Developmental Delay, ASD, ADHD and childhood trauma
- Additional pupils with ASD, ADHD and working memory difficulties
You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, behaviour and emotional regulation, helping to create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
The role:
- SEN Teaching Assistant (Supply)
- Year 6 / KS2 mainstream classroom
- 2-form entry primary school
- Full-time: 5 days per week
- Daily rate: 90 – 110, depending on experience
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD and trauma-informed approaches desirable)
- Be patient, nurturing and resilient
- Be confident supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Have a positive and proactive approach to behaviour and learning support
