Secondary School - Teaching Assistant

Barrow-in-Furness

Full Time Monday to Friday to start ASAP

Long Term Ongoing until July 2026

Tradewind are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to join a Secondary School in Barrow-in-Fruness, working as a Teaching Assistant supporting across year groups. The role is on a full-time basis 5 days a week starting ASAP. The role is working 8.30-3.30 with daily pay rates for this position £90-£115.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the classroom teacher in creating a positive and stimulating learning environment for all children. You will assist with planning and delivering engaging lessons, providing support for children, managing behaviour and helping to maintain a safe and orderly classroom. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, as well as a passion for working with children.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • NVQ level 2 qualification
  • Experience of working with children or in a school setting
  • Have an understanding of EHCP's
  • SEN experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
