Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30am - 15:30pm
Location: Sutton, South London
About the school: The school is a three-form-entry school and proudly graded Outstanding by Ofsted in all areas in 2024, noting pupils thoroughly enjoy coming to this school. The school is best reached by public transport and located a short walk from West Croydon station. There is a small amount of parking available, or on-street metered parking.
This role would be providing support to vulnerable children who require additional learning or behavioural support - you would play a key role in providing positive encouragement to children in a mainstream primary school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities
- Provide individual or small group assistance, particularly to pupils with additional needs
- Help prepare materials and create a positive learning environment
- Work closely with school staff to support pupil progress and wellbeing
Are you the ideal candidate?
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream primary setting is advantageous
- Prior experience supporting special educational needs is advantageous
- Enthusiastic, dependable, and patient
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Available to work full-time (5 days per week)
