Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a qualified teacher of Film and Media Studies looking for a new role in Manchester? Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic Film and Media Studies teacher to join an Ofsted Outstanding sixth form college in Manchester.
This is a full-time temporary supply teaching role from September 2025 to December 2025 in the first instance.
The Role
- Teacher of Media Studies AQA A level and Film Studies AQA A level
- Five days a week
- Calm confident behaviour management skills where students can share beliefs in a safe supportive environment.
- A flexible teacher able to adapt lessons to a broad range of abilities, beliefs and cultures.
- An enthusiastic media studies specialist who encourages and develops analytical skills and an understanding of bias and strong writing skills.
The academy are interested in hearing from early career teachers or experienced QTS teachers or FE lecturers with experience of teaching Film and Media Studies to students aged 16 to 19.

- Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent further education qualifications such as PGCE14+ or PGCEFE
- This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
- Provide a CV with full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
- Have the legal right to work full time in the UK with no restrictions
