We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Business Studies to join a thriving and well-established academy in Doncaster from September 2026 on a long-term, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher to become part of a supportive and ambitious school community, delivering engaging Business Studies lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will be passionate about developing students' knowledge of the business world while fostering confidence, ambition, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Teach Business Studies across Key Stage 4, with the ability to teach Key Stage 5 being desirable.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour and achievement.
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the academy, including departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and school events where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with school policies and statutory requirements.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Business education.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
