SEN Teacher - Core Subjects Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) - Chapel Area
Are you a passionate and resilient teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking committed SEN Teachers with experience or interest in delivering core subjects (English, Maths and Science ideally) within a supportive and dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting in the Chapel area. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who thrive in smaller classroom environments and are dedicated to helping students overcome barriers to learning.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across core subjects
- Support students with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD and behavioural challenges
- Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, attendance and achievement
- Work closely with pastoral teams, SENCOs and support staff to create individualised learning approaches
- Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS preferred)
- Experience working with SEN, SEMH or PRU students is desirable
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- Flexible, patient and proactive approach
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners who may have disengaged from education
