Pay: 95-115 per day PAYE

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a background in SEND? Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Hillingdon seeking an enthusiastic LSA to join their team in September. This role would suit an experienced TA who enjoys providing practical, emotional and academic support to children with additional needs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils individually and in small groups
  • Assisting with literacy and numeracy activities
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs
  • Encouraging positive communication and social skills
  • Helping pupils manage emotions and behaviour
  • Supporting classroom routines
  • Working closely with teachers and families where appropriate

About You

The successful candidate must have previous experience working in a school environment. SEND experience is essential, with experience supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties or learning needs highly desirable. You should be approachable, patient and adaptable, with the confidence to work with pupils who may require a more individualised approach.

You will need:

  • Previous UK school experience
  • SEND experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proactive and nurturing approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
