We are currently recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive school in Ipswich for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential in a nurturing school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based or similar setting)
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
