We're already recruiting for the new academic year and have multiple teaching opportunities starting this September across specialist schools in the Stoke-On-Trent area. Due to increasing demand from our partner schools, we're looking to speak with qualified Maths, English and Science Teachers who are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs.

We have a high volume of September vacancies, with new roles continuing to come in, so whether you're looking for a long-term placement or a permanent position, we'd love to hear from you.

Our partner schools primarily support pupils with:

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

This is an excellent opportunity to teach in supportive, well-resourced schools where smaller class sizes allow you to build meaningful relationships and deliver personalised learning that has a lasting impact.

The Role

As a specialist teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Maths, English or Science.
  • Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral teams.
  • Support pupils with complex learning, behavioural and emotional needs.
  • Inspire confidence, independence and positive outcomes for every learner.

We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths, English or Science.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A patient, resilient and compassionate approach.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within SEN, SEMH or PMLD settings.
  • Knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies and differentiated learning.
  • Team Teach, MAPA or other positive behaviour management training (advantageous but not essential).
