The predicted salary is between 23000 - 27000 £ per year.

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a confident and proactive Behaviour Mentor Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in the Stockport area from September 2026. This varied role will primarily involve providing 1:1 behavioural support to pupils in KS1, while also working across other year groups to promote positive behaviour, engagement and inclusion.

The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships with pupils, remain calm under pressure and use positive behaviour strategies to help children succeed.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children with behavioural, SEMH and/or SEND needs in a primary school
  • Be confident delivering 1:1 behaviour support and adapting to different year groups
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Hold a Team Teach qualification (desirable)
  • Be reliable, resilient, enthusiastic and committed to making a positive difference

This is a full-time position starting in September 2026.
