Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Stevenage to recruit an experienced Reception Teacher for a full-time position starting on 1st September 2026.

The Role

  • Take full responsibility for a Reception class.
  • Deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the EYFS Framework.
  • Create a stimulating, language-rich classroom where children learn through play and exploration.
  • Assess children's progress and plan learning that meets individual needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and carers to support children's development.
  • Work collaboratively with an experienced and supportive leadership team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Recent experience teaching within Reception or the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • A strong understanding of child development, phonics and the EYFS curriculum.
  • The ability to create an inclusive, nurturing and inspiring classroom environment.
  • High expectations for every child and a commitment to achieving excellent outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a school team.
