Tradewind are working in partnership with a secondary school in Stevenage, searching for a charismatic, energetic and engaging Head of Religious Education to lead and inspire their PRE team! This is more than just a RPE role - it's a leadership role in a school that recognises the need for cultural acceptance and diversity. Whether it’s supporting an open debate about human rights, or informing about current affairs and the wider impact of PRE, you’ll be at the heart of the school community ethos!

Role:

  • Lead and manage a dedicated PRE department delivering engaging lessons across KS3-KS5
  • Inspire students through positive modelling of Religious Education, health and Philosophy
  • Organise, develop and manage the extra-curricular sporting schedule
  • Develop the PRE curriculum to sustain and increase participation and performance
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to promote physical wellbeing as part of the wider school ethos
  • Be a positive sporting role model to staff and students alike

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a background in Philosophy & Religious Education
  • Previous experience in a leadership role or an ambitious PRE teacher ready to step into Head of Department role
