A broad range of the National Curriculum will be followed because we aspire for the pupils to achieve high educational standards. Alongside the educational offer runs a golden thread of therapeutic interventions to support the wellbeing of the student and enhance their development, which in turn supports their trajectory and closes the gap between their peers.
There will also be enriching elements to the curriculum including carefully selected interventions to enable the children to become self-regulating, self-aware, and socially and emotionally mature. Whilst the school appreciates that the pupils will have additional needs and present with additional challenges, they see no reason to lower their expectations of both what they can achieve and the outcomes which are possible for them.
The school are looking for a full-time SEND Teacher to start ASAP. They are happy to consider experienced and ECT candidates and would even consider UQTs and support them in qualifying. What is important to the school is your understanding of special needs and your ability to empathise and help the pupils thrive.
