Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking to connect with Teaching Assistants interested in opportunities across secondary schools in St Helens. We are working closely with a number of partner schools who regularly require enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and Classroom Support Assistants for long-term, temporary and permanent positions throughout the academic year.

We are recruiting Teaching Assistants who can:

  • Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Work with individuals and small groups to raise attainment and confidence
  • Assist teachers in creating engaging and inclusive learning environments
  • Promote positive behaviour and support students' wellbeing
  • Adapt to the needs of students with a range of learning abilities

We welcome applications from candidates with experience as:

  • Teaching Assistant (TA)
  • Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
  • Classroom Assistant
  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Behaviour Support Assistant
  • Youth Worker
  • Sports Coach
  • Graduate Teaching Assistant

The successful candidates will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people, ideally in an education setting
  • Be patient, adaptable and enthusiastic
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Be committed to supporting students to achieve their full potential
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
