Exam Invigilators - St Helens Secondary Schools
Tradewind Recruitment are looking to recruit a bank of Exam Invigilators for secondary schools in St Helens. This is a flexible, part-time role supporting Year 11 GCSE summer exams in May and June 2026. No experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
You will be required to:
- Maintain a calm and orderly exam environment
- Assist with the organisation of students at the start and end of each exam
- Provide correct information relevant to the examination
- Report any cases of malpractice to the Exam Manager
- Report any unexpected events during the course of an examination
- Liaise with the Exams Officer
- Assist with the distribution of seating cards, writing paper, equipment and examination question papers
- Mark the attendance registers as required
- Place candidates' work in examination number order, checking against the attendance register
- Monitor and supervise students throughout the exam
- Ensure all used exam papers and answer booklets are returned to the Exams Officer after the exam
You must be:
- Punctual and reliable
- Detail-orientated and able to follow instructions
- Professional and approachable
You will need:
