Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a Design & Technology Teacher to join a successful secondary school in St Helens from September until Christmas 2026. The school has a strong reputation for promoting creativity, innovation and practical learning. Staff work collaboratively to ensure students develop confidence, resilience and the technical skills required for future education and employment. The Design & Technology department is well-resourced and plays an important role within the wider curriculum.

The successful candidate will specialise in Resistant Materials and Product Design, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching Design & Technology
  • Specialise in Resistant Materials and Product Design
  • Be confident delivering practical lessons safely and effectively
  • Be committed to high-quality teaching and learning

The role offers:

  • September 2026 start
  • Fixed-term until Christmas 2026
  • Pay between £168.80 and £232.56 per day, depending on experience and scale point
  • Supportive department and leadership team
