Behaviour Mentor Jobs - St Helens Secondary Schools Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential?Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting Behaviour Mentors to work across a number of secondary schools in St Helens.
We work closely with our partner schools, who regularly require dedicated Behaviour Mentors for long-term, temporary and daily supply opportunities throughout the academic year.
These roles are ideal for candidates with experience in education, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, residential care or other roles supporting young people.
Your responsibilities may include
- Providing one-to-one and small group behaviour support
- Building positive and professional relationships with students
- Supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Working alongside teachers, pastoral teams and safeguarding staff
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging engagement in learning
- Helping students develop confidence, resilience and self-esteem
We are looking for candidates who
- Have experience working with children or young people
- Are calm, resilient and confident in challenging situations
- Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Are passionate about improving outcomes for young people
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous
- Behaviour Mentor
- Teaching Assistant
- Youth Worker
- Sports Coach
- Learning Support Assistant
- Residential Support Worker
- Children's Support Worker
- Graduate considering teacher training
