The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

We are urgently looking for people who have a background or experience working with young people or adults with additional needs across Sefton, particularly for the Southport area. Your role will be working in a classroom setting, often on a one-to-one or three-to-one basis with a young person under the guidance of a teacher.

We are looking for people who have experience working with young people or adults in any setting who have additional needs. Experience of personal care is an advantage but not essential.

The Role:

  • As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to:
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils across KS3 and KS4.
  • Help deliver personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
  • Support pupils' social and emotional development.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils who may have experienced trauma or disruption in their education.
  • Contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEMH or additional needs.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills.
  • A team player who is also confident working independently.
  • A willingness to learn and undertake relevant CPD.
