We are currently working in partnership with a fantastic special needs primary school in Timperley who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is looking for a rewarding position within a specialist educational setting.
The Role
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with autism
- Supporting learning and development under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO
- Assisting with the delivery of tailored interventions and individual education plans (IEPs)
- Supporting pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
- Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
- Supporting with personal care where required
The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience working with children with autism or special educational needs (school, care, or support settings)
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is committed to making a positive impact on pupils' learning and wellbeing
- Holds a relevant TA qualification (Level 2/3) or equivalent experience (desirable but not essential)
