A 2-form entry primary school in Southall is seeking an experienced and motivated Intervention Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This full-time position will initially run for the Autumn Term, with the teacher working across Key Stage 2, primarily supporting pupils in Year 6 through targeted intervention programmes designed to accelerate progress and prepare pupils for SATs.
The school is looking for a qualified teacher with strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, assessment requirements, and effective intervention strategies. Training and support will be provided to ensure the successful candidate is fully equipped for the role.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver targeted interventions across KS2, with a particular focus on Year 6
- Support pupils working towards expected and greater depth standards
- Identify learning gaps and plan effective intervention programmes
- Deliver small-group and targeted teaching sessions
- Monitor and track pupil progress
- Work closely with class teachers and school leaders
- Support pupils in preparation for KS2 SATs
This is not a full class teaching role and would suit a teacher who enjoys focused teaching and accelerating pupil progress.
Requirements
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within KS2
- Strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs expectations
- Experience delivering interventions or targeted support programmes
- Strong assessment and data analysis skills
- Ability to motivate and engage pupils of varying abilities
- Good communication and organisational skills
