A large secondary school based in Hillingdon is looking for an English Teacher to start in September on either a long-term contract or permanent basis. This position is full time, although part time applicants will also be considered. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Salary will match Outer London MPS/UPS. The school has available parking spaces.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.
  • Inspire students to develop strong literacy, reading, writing and analytical skills through creative and well-structured lessons.
  • Support students of all abilities, helping them achieve academic success and develop confidence in their communication skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted intervention where required.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to participate, think critically and achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and the continued success of the English department.
