We're seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join our welcoming Specialist school setting in South Tyneside, starting 2nd September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a stimulating and supportive environment where every child can flourish.
About the Role:
- You'll be working full-time on a temporary contract, this setting is open all year round: Monday to Friday, from 8:20 AM to 3:30 PM, playing a crucial role in the development and education of our children.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children feel happy, secure, and confident to explore.
- Supporting and encouraging toileting with young children.
- Assisting with the personal care of young children, including babies and under 2-year-olds.
- Helping with mealtimes, including feeding and cleaning up.
- Supporting continuous provision, fostering curiosity in learning, and promoting a mix of indoor and outdoor learning to enhance children's development and understanding of the wider world.
- Observing and assessing children's progress, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to their individual learning journeys.
- Building strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ensuring the well-being and safety of all children in your care, adhering to all safeguarding policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- A full Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Previous experience working in a pre-school or nursery setting with young children.
- A comprehensive understanding of the EYFS framework and its implementation.
- A genuine passion for working with young children, understanding their unique developmental needs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a proactive approach to learning and development.
- A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive early years environment.
