Overview

Position: Social Sciences Teacher

Location: Edgbaston

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full-time, MPS/UPS pay structure

The post has an immediate start and continues as a 1 year maternity cover, with the possibility for extension. As a Social Sciences Teacher, you\'ll be responsible for teaching the Social Sciences, including Psychology and Sociology.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to KS4 and KS5
  • Take on full responsibilities including planning and marking in both subjects
  • Collaborate with a small and supportive department to foster a stimulating learning environment & drive interest in Social Sciences
  • Ensure a safe, conducive environment where students can thrive personally and academically

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A genuine passion for education & the Social Sciences
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for education and a commitment to student success
