Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Slough who are seeking a committed English Teaching Assistant to join their team for a September 2026 start. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive school environment where staff are valued and students are encouraged to develop confidence in English Language and Literature. The school has a strong reputation for providing a positive and structured learning environment for pupils aged 11-16. Staff work collaboratively to ensure students are supported both academically and personally, while the leadership team place a strong emphasis on professional development and staff wellbeing.

The Role

You will work closely with the English department and wider support team to assist students across the classroom. You will help support literacy development, reinforce lesson content, and provide additional guidance to students who may require extra support. This is a full-time role working 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective English lessons
  • Working with small groups and individual students to improve literacy and comprehension skills
