Year 11 Alternative Provision (AP) Teacher - Short-Term Supply in Rochdale | Full-time (5 days per week) | Short-term supply - 1 month cover.

Tradewind Recruitment is supporting a Year 11 Centre in Rochdale to recruit a qualified secondary AP Teacher for full-time cover, starting this week, to cover a one-month paternity leave. This role is suited to a strong all-round classroom practitioner, ideally with experience teaching core subjects - Maths, English, and Science - who can support Year 11 pupils as they prepare for GCSEs and other examinations during a crucial point in the academic year.

The Role:

  • Teach and support Year 11 learners across a range of subjects, with core subjects (Maths, English, Science) being most valuable.
  • Provide structured classroom teaching, revision support, and exam preparation.
  • Maintain routine, consistency, and high expectations.
  • Support pupils' engagement, confidence, and readiness for examinations.

You’ll Need:

  • QTS or QTLS preferred.
  • Experience teaching or supporting Key Stage 4 / Year 11 pupils.
  • Confidence managing whole classes and supporting exam-focused learning.
  • A calm, reliable, and adaptable approach.
  • Experience in alternative provision (PRU/AP) settings is desirable but not essential.
