Do you have experience supporting children with additional needs and want to make a positive impact in local primary schools? Tradewind Recruitment are looking to recruit enthusiastic and caring SEND Teaching Assistants to work within a range of primary schools across Sheffield.

This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs, helping them engage with learning, build confidence, and succeed both socially and academically. We are especially keen to hear from candidates with experience supporting children with:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Additional behavioural or communication needs

In this role you will be:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support within the classroom
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional development
  • Supporting pupils with routines, transitions, and classroom activities

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEND
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable attitude
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Team Teach training (advantageous)
