Part-Time Art & Design Technology Teacher Required - September Start. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Art & Design Technology Teacher to join our team from September on a part‑time, ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher who is passionate about developing students' creativity, practical skills, and confidence in Art and Design Technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art and Design Technology lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Support students of varying abilities and learning needs.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.
- Prepare and organise materials, equipment, and resources for practical lessons.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures within workshops and art studios.
- Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and school events as required.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology at secondary school level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative education.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
