Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provider that is part of a well-established Multi Academy Trust. We are looking for an experienced SEND Tutor to deliver high-quality, personalised tuition to KS3 and KS4 pupils with high needs and complex additional needs.

This role will predominantly involve working with pupils outside of a traditional school setting, delivering tailored 1:1 tuition in the home or community. You will play a vital role in helping young people who are unable to access mainstream education make meaningful academic and personal progress.

Please note: You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle. This is an essential requirement for the role, with no exceptions.

The Role

  • Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to KS3 and KS4 pupils with high and complex SEND.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet each pupil's individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress.
  • Work closely with families and education professionals to provide consistent support.
  • Record progress and provide regular feedback following each session.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience tutoring or teaching pupils with complex SEND.
  • Strong understanding of differentiated learning and behaviour support strategies.
  • Patient, adaptable and able to build positive relationships.
  • Confident working independently in home and community settings.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle - this is essential and non-negotiable.
  • Full-time availability.

Pay Information

The hourly rate for this role ranges from £25-£35 per hour.

To be considered for the higher end of the pay scale:

  • Previous experience delivering tuition to pupils with high and complex SEND is essential.
  • Full-time availability is required.
  • Final pay rate will also be dependent on the provider's allocated budget and your level of experience.
